Media Advisory: Minister to Attend Miawpukek First Nation Powwow in Conne River

The Honourable Nick McGrath, Minister for Intergovernmental and Aboriginal Affairs, will participate in the Miawpukek First Nation Traditional Powwow tomorrow (Friday, July 6) in Conne River.

This is the 17th annual powwow of the Miawpukek First Nation in Conne River, the only recognized Reserve on the island portion of the province. Traditional dancers, drummers, spiritual leaders and elders from across the Mi’kmaq Nation will celebrate their traditions, culture, and spiritualism.
