Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador and
Mrs. Crosbie to Host Diamond Jubilee Reception

Today, (Monday, February 6) from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Government House, Their Honours the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador and Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie will host a Diamond Jubilee Reception for invited guests to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Accession to the Throne of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Guests will include representatives of the many organizations for which Their Honours serve as Patrons and those that have the prefix “Royal.”

At the reception guests will be able to view a newly unveiled photo and memento exhibit of Her Majesty’s four official visits to Newfoundland and Labrador and His Honour will be the first to sign a Congratulatory Signing Book. Guests and visitors to Government House during the month of February will also be invited to sign the book. Her Honour will officially launch the newly redesigned Government House web-site found at www.govhouse.nl.ca and at the conclusion of the event His Honour will flick a switch to light the exterior of Government House in Her Majesty’s Royal Colours.
