Environmental Assessment Bulletin
 

The Honourable Terry French, Minister of Environment and Conservation, has announced the following events relative to Part 10 Environmental Assessment of the Environmental Protection Act.

UNDERTAKING REGISTERED:

Loch Leven Forage Production (Resubmission)                                  (Reg. 1672)
Proponent: New World Dairy Inc.

The proponent proposes to develop approximately 100 hectares of land for forage production near the community of Loch Leven. The development of the forage fields will require clearing vegetation in the proposed area. The proposed development will provide forage for the local market and will have a seasonal operation. The project is scheduled to commence in late fall, 2012.

The undertaking was registered on September 24, 2012; the deadline for public comments is November 1, 2012; and the minister’s decision is due by November 8, 2012.
