Public Advisory: Salmonier Nature Park to Remain Closed for Season

The Department of Environment and Conservation wishes to advise the public that due to the extensive damage caused by tropical storm Leslie, Salmonier Nature Park will remain closed to the public for the duration of the season.

While the park’s on-site school program will be unavailable this fall, schools in the province are invited to avail of the park’s travelling Outreach Program. The curriculum-related presentations cover species-at-risk, bears, biodiversity and habitat, and include displays such as a polar bear skin, and moose and caribou antlers. Interested schools can call 709-229-7888 for more information or to book a visit from a park interpreter.
