Public Advisory: Butter Pot Provincial Park to Remain Closed Because of Storm Damage

The Department of Environment and Conservation wishes to advise the public that due to extensive damage resulting from Tropical Storm Leslie, Butter Pot Provincial Park will remain closed for the remainder of the 2012 camping season.

Park staff will contact individuals with trailers remaining in the park to inform them when the roads have been cleared and safe access to the campsites is restored. At that time, clients will be advised on how refunds of camping fees will be processed. For safety reasons, individuals are advised not to travel to the park until notified.

For more information, please contact the Parks and Natural Areas Division at 709-635-4520.
