Environmental Assessment Bulletin

The Honourable Terry French, Minister of Environment and Conservation, has announced the following event relative to Part 10 Environmental Assessment of the Environmental Protection Act.

COMPONENT STUDIES ADDITIONAL INFORMATION SUBMITTED:

PUBLIC COMMENTS INVITED
Labrador – Island Transmission Link
Proponent: Nalcor Energy     (Reg. 1407)

On December 8, 2011, Nalcor Energy was requested to provide additional information for review on the following four Component Studies:

• Vegetation
• Freshwater Environment: Fish and Fish Habitat and Water Resources
• Historic and Heritage Resources
• Socioeconomic Environment: Communities, Land and Resource Use, Tourism and Recreation

On January 17, 2012, Nalcor Energy was requested to provide additional information for review on the following four Component Studies:

• Avifauna
• Caribou and Other Large Mammals
• Furbearers and Small Mammals
• Marine Environment: Marine Mammals, Sea Turtles and Seabirds

Nalcor Energy has submitted the requested additional information. The public is invited to comment on the additional information. Written comments must be received by May 24, 2012.
