Media Advisory: Minister, Anti-Bullying Advocate to Address Students

The Honourable Clyde Jackman, Minister of Education, will join anti-bullying advocate Travis Price for a presentation to students at Beaconsfield Junior High School in St. John’s tomorrow (Wednesday, October 31) at 10:30 a.m.

Mr. Price, who is credited with co-founding the Pink Shirt Day movement in 2007 while a high school student in Nova Scotia, is touring a number of schools this week to promote the Canadian Red Cross anti-bullying initiative, Beyond the Hurt.

Through Beyond the Hurt, junior and senior high school students are educated about the issues around bullying and harassment and guided to create presentations to be delivered to their peers and younger students.
