Media Advisory: Minister to Mark Family Literacy Day

The Honourable Clyde Jackman, Minister of Education, will celebrate Family Literacy Day tomorrow (Friday, January 27) with students at Donald C. Jamieson Academy in Burin Bay Arm. Minister Jackman will read to Grade 3 students, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Family Literacy Day is a national awareness initiative created by ABC Life Literacy Canada in 1999 and held annually on January 27 to raise awareness of the importance of reading and engaging in other literacy-related activities as a family. This year’s theme is Take a Learning Journey.
