Media Advisory: Minister to Announce Enhancements to Child Care Services

The Honourable Charlene Johnson, Minister of Child, Youth and Family Services, will be joined by representatives from the early childhood education field to proclaim Early Childhood Educators Week 2012. Minister Johnson will also announce changes to the Early Learning and Child Care Supplement, as well as further information on a new one-year Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate program and a workplace ECE training program that will include a process for recognition of prior learning and experience.

The event will take place today (Friday, May 25) at 1:30 p.m. at the Child, Youth and Family Services Provincial Office, 95 Elizabeth Avenue, St. John’s.
