Child and Youth Advocate and Staff to Participate in McHappy Day on Wednesday, May 2

McHappy Day is Wednesday, May 2. On this day, $1 from the sale of every Big Mac, Happy Meal and Hot McCafe beverage in the province will be donated in support of the Ronald McDonald House Newfoundland and Labrador.

This year, the Child and Youth Advocate, Carol Chafe, is pleased to announce that she and her entire staff of the Office of the Child and Youth Advocate will be participating in this special day!

Today Ms. Chafe stated that “We are very excited to be apart of this wonderful event that supports such a worthwhile cause. The Ronald McDonald House NL will provide the province's sick children and youth and their families a home-away-from-home, a place where families can stay together and support each other in otherwise difficult times”.

The Office of the Child and Youth Advocate team will be participating at the McDonald’s store located on Kenmount Road from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. We encourage everyone to come out and support McHappy Day and help the children and youth of our province.
