Media Advisory: Minister to Officially Open Arts and Science
Extension at Grenfell Campus

The Honourable Joan Burke, Minister of Advanced Education and Skills, will officially open the Arts and Science Extension building at Grenfell Campus, Memorial University, Corner Brook, tomorrow (Friday, May 25).

The minister will be joined by the Honourable Tom Marshall, Minister of Finance and President of Treasury Board and MHA for Humber East, and Vaughn Granter, MHA for Humber West. Also attending is the Honourable Peter Penashue, Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs and President of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada; Dr. Gary Kachanoski, President of Memorial University; and, Dr. Mary Bluechardt, Vice-President, Grenfell Campus of Memorial University.

Media are invited to take part in a tour of the facility at 10:00 a.m. The official opening will take place at 11:00 a.m.
