Media Advisory: Minister to Address Regional Apprenticeship Forum

The Honourable Joan Burke, Minister of Advanced Education and Skills, will join industry stakeholders at the Regional Apprenticeship Forum tomorrow (Friday, May 4) to provide further details on Budget 2012 investments to advance apprentices. The event will take place at the Arts and Culture Centre in Stephenville at 9:00 a.m.

Hosted by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, the forum is a gathering of industry stakeholders that will help guide the direction of the apprenticeship system. Connected by leading-edge interactive technology, the forum will enable key industry representatives to communicate from three locations across the province – Stephenville, Grand Falls-Windsor and Labrador City. Minister Burke will be joined by the Honourable Susan Sullivan, Minster of Health and Community Services, at the Mount Peyton Hotel in Grand Falls-Windsor, and by the Honourable Nick McGrath, Minister Responsible for Labrador Affairs, at the College of the North Atlantic in Labrador City.
