The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador:

Eastern Canadian Club Basketball Championships in St. John’s

The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association will be hosting the U13 and U14 Boys and Girls Eastern Canadian Club Championships from July 1 to 3. Twenty-five teams encompassing over 340 participants will be taking part in the three day event.

Provinces represented include Ontario, Quebec, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland and Labrador. Games will be played at the Newfoundland and Labrador Sports Centre and at Memorial University’s old gymnasium. Play gets underway at 9:00 a.m. on July 1 at both venues with opening ceremonies scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the Sports Centre.
