Club Basketball Championships set for Weekend

The U13 and U14 Girls Provincial Club Basketball Championships are slated for this weekend, February 4-5. The events are hosted by St. Kevin’s High School in the Goulds and Max Gymnasium in St. John’s. Teams entering the competition include Goulds Hoopsters, Cowan Heights Youth Basketball, Max Academy, Mount Pearl Junior Seahawks and Junior Seahawk Shooters of St. John’s. The 1st and 2nd place teams in each age group will participate in the Eastern Canadian Championships slated for St. John’s on July 1st weekend. Play gets under way Friday afternoon and will conclude with the championship games Saturday evening.
