2011 Basketball Hall of Fame Cup Rankings Released

The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association (NLBA) has released the second set of rankings for the Hall of Fame Cup (Elite Eight) Championship, to be held February 18-20. The event is scheduled to be held at the Newfoundland and Labrador Sports Centre in St. John’s.

Over 300 game results have been forwarded to the provincial office to assist with the rankings formulated below. Roger Head, Chair of the Elite Eight Program, is pleased with the amount of scores reported and states there appears to be great parity on the male side for the event. The committee has set February 6 as the final day to submit game results.

Results from tournaments held prior to January 24 have been included for the current rankings. Below is a list of male and female teams according to current statistics.

Female: Male:
1. St. Kevin’s 1. Holy Heart
2. O’Donel 2. Gonzaga
3. Gonzaga 3. Pasadena
4. Roncalli 4. Corner Brook High
5. Dunne 5. Mount Pearl
6. Laval 6. Bishops
7. Bishops 7. O’Donel
