Public Advisory: Repairs Scheduled for Bridges in Central Newfoundland
at Granite Lake Access Road

The Department of Natural Resources advises the general public that work to fix structural damage to three bridges on the Granite Lake Access Road will start tomorrow (Friday, September 16) and is expected to be completed by Tuesday, September 20.

The bridges will remain closed to all traffic until work is completed. The alternate route around the bridges, Gill’s Valley Road, is accessible via the access road to the Duck Pond Mine. The bridges are located 18 kilometres south of the Exploits River Bridge near Millertown and 1.5 km and, 3.5 km further south, respectively, along the Granite Lake Road.
