Media Advisory: Minister to Attend Annual Energy and Mines Ministers’ Conference

The Honourable Shawn Skinner, Minister of Natural Resources, will attend the Energy and Mines Ministers’ Conference, in Kananaskis, Alberta, from July 16 to 19. The conference, Framing the Future of Energy and Mines, is being co-hosted by the Government of Alberta and the Government of Canada.

The annual conference will provide federal, provincial, and territorial ministers an opportunity to discuss issues affecting the natural resources sector including responsible resource extraction and sustainable development; technological growth and innovation; investment opportunities and challenges; a proposed national energy strategy; and global competitiveness.
