Media Advisory: Minister to Announce Investments in Research and Development

The Honourable Susan Sullivan, Minister of Innovation, Trade and Rural Development, will announce the creation of a new directed research program, as well as funding for projects aimed at geoscience research and development in Newfoundland and Labrador tomorrow (Thursday, June 9) at 2:00 p.m.. The announcement will take place in the atrium of the Alexander Murray (Earth Sciences) Building on Memorial University of Newfoundland’s St. John’s campus.

Minister Sullivan will be joined by Glenn Janes, Chief Executive Officer, Research & Development Corporation; Dr. Christopher Loomis, Vice-President (Research), Memorial University; and Dr. Mark Abrahams, Dean, Faculty of Science, Memorial University.
