Media Advisory: Minister to Make Announcements in Labrador

The Honourable Susan Sullivan, Minister of Innovation, Trade and Rural Development, will make two funding announcements in Labrador City tomorrow (Tuesday, February 22) and one in Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Wednesday, February 23.

At 10:30 a.m. tomorrow (Tuesday, February 22), Minister Sullivan, will be joined by the Honourable Fabian Manning, Senator for Newfoundland and Labrador, at College of the North Atlantic’s Labrador West campus located at 1 Campbell Drive, Labrador City. A photo opportunity related to this announcement will take place at 9:30 a.m. at H.J. O’Connell on Old Airport Road in Wabush.

At 12:30 p.m., Minister Sullivan will make an announcement at the chalet at the Menihek Nordic Ski Club. The Honourable John Hickey, Minister of Labrador Affairs, and Jim Baker, MHA, Labrador West, will also participate in the announcement.

On Wednesday, February 23, at 2:00 p.m. Minister Sullivan will announce a Provincial Government investment to support projects related to the Torngat Mountains National Park and the Torngâsok Cultural Centre in Nain. The Honourable Patty Pottle, Minister of Aboriginal Affairs, and Minister Hickey, are also scheduled to speak at the event, which will take place at the Labrador Inuit Development Corporation’s office, 2-6 Royal Street in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
