Media Advisory: Minister to Participate in Multicultural Milestone Event

The Honourable Shawn Skinner, Minister of Natural Resources, will participate at an event celebrating the third anniversary of the Provincial Government’s Policy on Multiculturalism.

The event will take place tomorrow (Tuesday, September 13) at 11:00 a.m. at The Rooms at 9 Bonaventure Avenue, St. John’s.

Implementation of the Policy on Multiculturalism was a key commitment of the Provincial Immigration Strategy, Diversity ~ Opportunity and Growth. The strategy aims to significantly increase the attraction and retention of immigrants to the province. Promotion of multiculturalism and respect for diversity was also supported by the Youth Retention and Attraction Strategy.
