Media Advisory: Minister to Announce Funding for
Settlement and Integration Grants

The Honourable Darin King, Minister of Human Resources, Labour and Employment, will announce details of funding for community-based organizations through the 2011-12 Newfoundland and Labrador Settlement and Integration Program. The event will take place tomorrow (Wednesday, July 6) at 1:30 p.m. at the Association for New Canadians, 10 Smithville Crescent, St. John’s.

The Newfoundland and Labrador Settlement and Integration Program provides funding to community-based organizations that focus on helping newcomers settle and integrate into the province. Projects are chosen from applications received by an open call for proposals at the beginning of each year.
