Media Advisory: Opening of House of Assembly
and Reading of Throne Speech

The Honourable Joan Burke, Government House Leader, today provided details regarding the official opening of the spring session of the House of Assembly and the reading of the Speech from the Throne.

On Monday, March 21, at 10:00 a.m., His Honour, the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, will prorogue the Third Session of the Forty-Sixth General Assembly of the province’s House of Assembly. To officially open the fourth session, the Lieutenant Governor will read the Speech from the Throne at 2:00 p.m.
