Media Advisory: Minister and Parliamentary Secretary to Address Community Living Symposium

Keith Hutchings, Parliamentary Secretary to the Honourable Jerome Kennedy, Minister of Health and Community Services and the Honourable Felix Collins, Minister of Justice and Attorney General, will address a symposium titled Securing Citizenship and Legal Capacity for All, this week at the Capital Hotel, St. John’s.

Mr. Hutchings is scheduled to speak at 9:15 a.m. today (Tuesday, June 21); and, Minister Collins is scheduled to speak at 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22.

During the symposium, hosted by the Newfoundland and Labrador Association for Community Living, issues of legal capacity without discrimination on the basis of disability and ways to achieve supported decision making will be discussed.
