Media Advisory: Minister to Attend Events Commemorating
National Day of Remembrance for Road Crash Victims

The Honourable Paul Davis, Minister of Service NL, will participate in two events commemorating the National Day of Remembrance for Road Crash Victims tomorrow (Wednesday, November 23).

Minister Davis will lay a wreath at a ceremony at the Foxtrap Weigh Scales. The event begins at 1:00 p.m. and will be attended by representatives from law enforcement and community groups.

At 6:30 p.m. Minister Davis will address a ceremony at St. John’s City Hall.

The National Day of Remembrance for Road Crash Victims is an annual event which remembers those killed or seriously injured on Canadian roads. This is the fourth year for the event, which places a focus on key areas such as increased enforcement, the building of safer vehicles and a general change in road user behaviors.
