Media Advisory: Ministers to Participate in MADD Ceremony

The Honourable Harry Harding, Minister of Government Services, together with the Honourable Susan Sullivan, Minister of Innovation, Trade and Rural Development and MHA for Grand Falls-Windsor - Buchans, will bring greetings at the dedication ceremony of the Newfoundland and Labrador Tribute Monument hosted by the Exploits chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving. The event will take place at College of the North Atlantic, Grand Falls-Windsor campus today (Friday, June 17) at 2:00 p.m.

The event will include a candlelight ceremony for the victims and families of impaired driving accidents, and the dedication of a permanent monument. This monument, the first provincial tribute of its kind in Canada, will honour those who have been injured or killed in an impaired driving accident, and serve as a constant reminder to everyone not to drink and drive.
