Media Advisory: Minister to Attend Event Celebrating International Day of Persons with Disabilities

The Honourable Tom Marshall, Minister of Finance, President of Treasury Board and Minister Responsible for the Public Service Secretariat, will attend an event to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The event will take place today (Friday, December 2) at 2:00 p.m. at the Independent Living Resource Centre, 4 Escasoni Place, St. John's, and will include the presentation of the 2011 Independent Living Awards.

December 3 is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Designated by the United Nations and recognized throughout the world, it is a day to recognize and celebrate the contributions and accomplishments of persons with disabilities.
