Media Advisory: Council of Atlantic Premiers to Meet in St. John’s

Premier Kathy Dunderdale will host the 20th session of the Council of Atlantic Premiers in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, on December 5. Premiers David Alward, Darrell Dexter, and Robert Ghiz will attend. During the meeting, premiers will discuss opportunities for Atlantic regional cooperation to promote trade and share perspectives on national issues, including fiscal arrangements and health care.

Location/ Time
Premiers will meet on Monday morning at the Sheraton Hotel Newfoundland, 115 Cavendish Square, St. John’s.

Information for Media
Media will be provided with a photo opportunity with premiers prior to the meeting at 8:15 a.m.

A media conference will be held at 12:00 p.m. in the Avalon and Battery Rooms in the lower level of the hotel. Access to the conference rooms will be available beginning at 11:30 a.m. Simultaneous interpretation services will be provided during the media conference.

Media releases issued from the meeting will be distributed by each province’s communications office following the meeting and will be accessible at www.cap-cpma.ca . Please note that:
