Media Advisory: Premier to Attend Stanley Cup Celebrations in Bonavista

The Honourable Kathy Dunderdale, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, will be in Bonavista tomorrow (Tuesday, August 30) to participate in a community celebration for the arrival of the NHL Stanley Cup and 2011 Stanley Cup champion, Bonavista native Michael Ryder.

On Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Premier Dunderdale will attend a Stanley Cup send-off event hosted by 3D Helicopters, which will take place on the rooftop of 95 Water Street, St. John’s. Following this event, the Premier will fly via helicopter to Bonavista with Mr. Ryder, depending on weather conditions, arriving at approximately 12:15 p.m. A parade through the community will then take place, ending at Bonavista Cabot Stadium, and will be followed by an event at the town’s softball field.
