Media Advisory: Minister to Recognize Merchant Navy Veterans Day

The Honourable Dave Denine, Minister for Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister Responsible for the Volunteer and Non-Profit Sector, will speak at a memorial service and ceremony recognizing Merchant Navy Veterans Day. The ceremony will also mark the 14th anniversary of the unveiling and dedication of Newfoundland and Labrador’s Merchant Navy Memorial. The event takes place Monday, August 29, at 10:00 a.m. outside the Marine Institute on Ridge Road in St. John’s.
