Media Advisory: Minister to Speak at Rick Hansen Relay Celebration

The Honourable Dave Denine, Minister for Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister Responsible for the Volunteer and Non-Profit Sector, will speak at the 25th Anniversary Rick Hansen Relay end of day celebration. The event will take place today (Wednesday, August 24) at Field House, Memorial University. The doors open at 3:00 p.m. and the celebration will begin at 3:15 p.m. Rick Hansen will be in attendance and Newfoundland and Labrador duo Ennis will perform.

The relay is retracing the Canadian segment of the original Man in Motion tour in 1986. It starts this morning in Cape Spear and ends in Vancouver, British Columbia, on May 22, 2012.
