Media Advisory: Premier Visiting North Coast of Labrador
The Honourable Kathy Dunderdale, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador,
will visit several communities on the north coast of Labrador this week. As
announced in a news release on August 2, Premier Dunderdale will attend a
ceremony today to repatriate Inuit remains on Rose Island in Saglek Bay.
Tomorrow (Wednesday, August 17), the Premier will meet with residents and
tour the communities of Nain, Natuashish, and Hopedale. Meet and greet
events will take place at 10:30 a.m. at the Nain Community Centre, at 2:00
p.m. in Natuashish, and in Hopedale at the Amos Comenius Memorial School at
7:00 p.m.
On Thursday, August 18, Premier Dunderdale will attend events in Makkovik, Postville and Rigolet. The Premier will attend a meet and greet event at the Makkovik Community Centre at 9:30 a.m., the Postville Fun in the Sun Festival at 12:45 p.m., and a community meet and greet in Rigolet at 4:30 p.m.
