Media Advisory: Premier to Make Significant Announcement in St. Lawrence

The Honourable Kathy Dunderdale, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, will make a significant announcement today (Thursday, August 11) at 1:00 p.m. at the ribbon cutting and grand opening of the St. Lawrence fluorspar mine. The announcement will take place in the parking lot of Canada Fluorspar Inc, which is adjacent to the company’s main office and mill building.

The Honourable Susan Sullivan, Minister of Innovation, Trade and Rural Development, and the Honourable Darin King, Minister of Human Resources, Labour and Employment and MHA for Grand Bank, as well as Lindsay Gorrill, President and CEO, and Richard Carl, Executive Chairman, of Canada Fluorspar, and Bernard Roche from Arkema Inc., will join the Premier for the announcement.

In the event of poor weather, the announcement will take place in the St. Lawrence Recreation Centre.
