Media Advisory: Premier and Minister to Present Aquaculture Awards in Milltown

The Honourable Kathy Dunderdale, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, and the Honourable Clyde Jackman, Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, will present awards to long-serving members of the aquaculture industry at a reception in Milltown, in the Coast of Bays Region. The reception will be hosted jointly by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador and Newfoundland Aquaculture Industry Association (NAIA). Also in attendance will be Tracey Perry, MHA for Fortune Bay-Cape La Hune; Jennifer Woodland, President of NAIA; and Georgina Brushett, Mayor of Milltown.

Awards will be presented for 20 years or more of service in the aquaculture industry, as well as the prestigious Founders’ Awards for substantial contribution to the growth and development of the industry.

The reception will take place tomorrow (Thursday, July 14) at the Milltown Lion’s Club, at 7:00 p.m.
