Media Advisory: Premier to Present URock Volunteer Awards
The Honourable Kathy Dunderdale, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, will present eight deserving recipients with the URock Volunteer Award tomorrow (Saturday, May 14). Premier Dunderdale will be joined by the Honourable Dave Denine, Minister Responsible for the Volunteer and Non-Profit Sector, as well as other government officials and representatives from the volunteer and non-profit sector.
The event will take place at the CLB Armoury, 82 Harvey Road, St. John’s. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. with the show beginning at 7:00 p.m.
The awards show will be hosted by local comedian Jonny Harris and will
feature performances by Pathological Lovers, From Great Heights, Repartee,
The Novaks and the Holy Heart of Mary Intercultural Choir. It is expected
that over 350 people will be in attendance.
