Premier Announces Appointment

The Honourable Kathy Dunderdale, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, today announced a senior appointment.

Keith Bowden has been appointed Executive Director – Works Branch, Department of Transportation and Works. He is currently Director Infrastructure Support, Eastern Health.

“I welcome Mr. Bowden to the Provincial Government,” said Premier Dunderdale. “The more than 30 years of relevant management experience he brings to the position will serve him well.”

Mr. Bowden’s appointment will be effective May 2.

Biographical Information

Keith Bowden
Since 2005, Keith Bowden has been Director Infrastructure Support, Eastern Health. From 1995 to 2005 he was Director-Facilities Management, Health Care Corporation of St. John’s. For 15 years before that, he was Director of Physical Operations and Maintenance, General Hospital Corporation, St. John’s. He also worked for several years as project manager with the Department of Public Works and Services; prior to that he was a mechanical engineer with Associated Engineering Consultants in St. John’s.

Mr. Bowden has a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Engineering (mechanical) and Bachelor of Science (physics) from Memorial University, and a fourth class power engineering diploma from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
