Senior Appointments Announced
The Honourable Kathy Dunderdale, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, today announced two senior appointments.
Shawn Robinson has been appointed Assistant Deputy Minister (Fisheries), Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture, effective tomorrow, March 4.
Ingrid E. Clarke has been appointed acting Assistant Deputy Minister (Infrastructure), Department of Education, effective tomorrow, March 4.
“The strong work experiences Mr. Robinson and Ms. Clarke have had with the Provincial Government to this point will serve them well in their new executive positions,” said Premier Dunderdale. “I congratulate them and wish them well.”

Biographical Information
Shawn Robinson
Shawn Robinson has been an employee of the Department of Fisheries and
Aquaculture for 20 years, starting there in 1991 as an aquaculture
development specialist with the department’s Corner Brook office, and
serving later as shellfish aquaculturist. For the past 10 years, he has been
the department’s Director of Aquaculture Development, with headquarters in
Grand Falls-Windsor.
Mr. Robinson, who grew up in York Harbour, has a Bachelor of Science (biology) from Memorial University and has had additional professional training in other areas. He attended the Executive Development Program at Memorial University, and has participated in international study tours to examine innovative approaches to aquaculture and the fishery.
Ingrid E. Clarke
Ingrid E. Clarke has been with the Provincial Government since 1987,
starting as regional engineer with the Department of Works, Services and
Transportation, where she later worked as a project manager. Later, she also
worked as school construction engineer reporting to the Department of
Education. In 1999, Ms. Clarke was seconded to the Department of Education
as school construction engineer. In 2005 she was promoted to Manager of
School Construction and Facilities, and since 2006 has been Director of
Design and Construction.
Ms. Clarke has a Bachelor of Engineering (civil) from Memorial University, complemented since 1986 by more than 50 professional development seminars and training courses on topics such as building design, indoor air and water quality, project management, and occupational health and safety. She has won several awards, including the Provincial Government’s Public Service Award of Excellence in 2009, and was bestowed with a fellowship by Engineers Canada, also in 2009.
