Media Advisory: Premier Attending Christening of the MV Blue Puttees

The Honourable Kathy Dunderdale, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, will join the Right Honourable Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Canada; the Honourable Peter MacKay, Minister of National Defence and Cabinet Minister responsible for Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador; the Honourable Rob Merrifield, Minister of State (Transport); Senator Fabian Manning; and Lieutenant-Colonel F.A. (Alex) Brennan, Commanding Officer 1st Battalion, The Royal Newfoundland Regiment, for the christening of Marine Atlantic’s newest vessel, the MV Blue Puttees, tomorrow (Friday, February 11). The Honourable Tom Hedderson, Minister of Transportation and Works, will also attend.

The event will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Pier 10, St. John’s Harbour Front.
