Media Advisory: Ministers to Address Sixth Annual

Aboriginal Women’s Conference

The Honourable Susan Sullivan, Minister Responsible for the Status of Women, and the Honourable Patty Pottle, Minister of Aboriginal Affairs, will address the sixth annual Aboriginal Women’s Conference taking place February 9 and 10 at the Capital Hotel, 208 Kenmount Road, St. John’s.

Minister Sullivan will speak at the conference’s opening ceremonies tomorrow (Wednesday, February 9) at 9:30 a.m.  Minister Pottle will deliver the keynote address at the conference banquet at 7:00 p.m. tomorrow.

The theme for this year’s conference is Strong Women, Strong Communities – Advancing Aboriginal Women’s Equality.  Sessions will address issues related to women and leadership.
