Environmental Assessment Bulletin

The Honourable Ross Wiseman, Minister of Environment and Conservation, has announced the following events relative to Part 10 Environmental Assessment of the Environmental Protection Act.

UNDERTAKINGS RELEASED:

Wabush East Woodford Rock Quarry (Reg. 1572)
Proponent: H&H Enterprises Ltd.

Gaff Topsails Region Mineral Exploration (Reg. 1580)
Proponent: Altius Resources Inc.

The undertaking is released from further environmental assessment subject to the following condition:

• Prior to the initiation of the project, the proponent will, in conjunction with the Wildlife Division, be responsible for the development of a research and monitoring program in order to investigate impacts of the exploration activity in relation to caribou populations.

Crabbes River West Forage Production (Reg. 1584)
Proponent: Chaffey’s Dairy Farm Inc.
