Public Advisory: Additional Section of T’Railway Provincial Park
in Seal Cove Closed to Public

The Honourable Ross Wiseman, Minister of Environment and Conservation, wishes to advise the public that, effective immediately, a 10-kilometre section of the T’Railway Provincial Park in Seal Cove, Conception Bay, from the structure known as Indian Pond Bridge (including the bridge), east to Station Road is closed to all pedestrian, ATV, snowmobile and vehicular traffic until further notice. This section of the park was damaged as a result of a recent storm surge in the area.

On February 22, 2011, a four-kilometre section east of Indian Pond bridge was closed. Today’s closure represents an additional six kilometres east of that section, for a total of 10 kilometres.

The Parks and Natural Areas Division will continue to monitor the situation. An update will be provided at a later date.
