Election Workers Needed for Upcoming Provincial Election

Elections Newfoundland and Labrador is seeking applications for polling station workers for the 2011 General Election. Workers are required for advance polls on October 4 and for regular polls on October 11.

Applicants must meet certain qualifications in order to be considered for employment. All election workers must be 18 years of age or older; Canadian citizens; residents of the province the day before polling day; and residents of the electoral district and polling division where seeking employment.

Interested individuals can apply online at www.elections.gov.nl.ca/elections/nowhiring.asp.

Applications will also be accepted at the district Returning Offices. Returning Office locations are available on the Elections Newfoundland and Labrador website www.elections.gov.nl.ca.
