Writ Issued for the Humber West By-Election

The writ of election for the Humber West by-election was issued today, January 24, 2011. The by-election will take place on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 and advance voting will take place on Thursday, February 10, 2011.

Electors should note that Special Ballot voting is now available to those who will be unable to vote in person at the advance or regular polls.

The district Returning Office is located in the Valley Mall, 1 Mount Bernard Avenue, Corner Brook. The telephone number for public enquiries is 709-634-2191 and the Special Ballot telephone number is 709-634-2092.

During the election period, Elections Newfoundland and Labrador’s office hours are: Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
