Two School Openings to be Celebrated Friday
School communities in Torbay and Paradise will celebrate the official grand openings of their new schools tomorrow (Friday, April 15).
On behalf of the Honourable Joan Burke, Minister of Education, Cape St. Francis MHA Kevin Parsons will attend the official opening of Holy Trinity Elementary, Doyle’s & Quigley’s Lane (off Marine Drive), beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Later in the day, Minister Burke will be represented by Mount Pearl North MHA Steve Kent at a ceremony marking the opening of Elizabeth Park Elementary, 80 Ellesmere Avenue, in Paradise. Mr. Kent will be joined by Topsail MHA Paul Davis. The event begins at 1:00 p.m.
