Artistic Gymnastic Team Selected for 2011 Canada Winter Games

The provinces elite gymnasts for both men�s and women�s artistic gymnastics were in top form this past weekend as they competed in the last set of competitions to determine the team to the 2011 Canada Winter Games in Halifax.

Both teams competed on Friday night and again on Sunday. This was the second weekend of competition for the women�s team. The athletes had held the first round of competition in November with the final decision on team selection being made this past weekend.

"This will be the strongest team ever assembled for Canada Games Gymnastics" stated Newfoundland and Labrador President Robert Godden. "The skill level of this group of athletes has surpassed any previous team sent to Canada Games."

The athletes representing Newfoundland and Labrador at the 2011 Canada Winter Games are:
