Media Advisory: Minister to Open Basketball Court

The Honourable Terry French, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation, will be at Frank Roberts Junior High in Foxtrap today (Friday, October 8) at 11:00 a.m. for the official opening of the first outdoor basketball court in Conception Bay South, located adjacent to the school. Minister French will be joined by the Honourable Darin King, Minister of Education, and Woodrow French, Mayor of the Town of Conception Bay South.

The $10,000 project, announced earlier this year, was undertaken by the Town of Conception Bay South with funding provided through the Capital Grant Program.

The Capital Grant Program is an application-based program that provides grants of up to $15,000 to assist community-based recreation organizations to improve their recreation and sports infrastructure.
