Public Advisory: Bonavista, Trinity Historic Sites Closed
Until Further Notice; Visitor Information Centres Open

The Department of Tourism, Culture and Recreation advises the public that Provincial Historic Sites in Bonavista and Trinity are closed until further notice, due to conditions in the area following Hurricane Igor. The sites include the Cape Bonavista Lighthouse and Mockbeggar Plantation in Bonavista; and Hiscock House and the Mercantile Premises in Trinity (the Visitor Centre is closed for renovations). All other Provincial Historic Sites are open.

Meanwhile, all Provincial Visitor Information Centres are now open, with services restored at the centres in Argentia and Clarenville.
