Heritage organizations in the Trinity-Bay De Verde region have received $40,130 in operational and project funding through the Cultural Economic Development Program (CEDP).

"The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador recognizes the tremendous efforts of heritage organizations and individuals within our communities to preserve, protect and promote our cultural heritage," said the Honourable Terry French, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation. "It is our local residents, who have a keen interest in maintaining the history of their respective regions, who serve our collective goal of ensuring our heritage will survive for generations to come."

  • Winterton Heritage Advisory Board — $28,160 in total; $18,160 in operational support and $10,000 for a project to develop a travelling exhibit consisting of 10 storyboard panels which showcase elements of the province's wooden boat history and its traditional boatbuilding techniques;
