NLBA Hall of Fame Cup/Elite Eight
Final Rankings
The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association
(NLBA) has released the final rankings for the Hall of
Fame Cup (Elite Eight) Championship to be held on
February 19-21. The event is scheduled for the NLSC in
St. John's.
Roger Head, Chair of the Hall of Fame Cup Program
stated, "While certain teams were obvious choices, there
were some tough decisions that had to be made for teams
ranked between 7and 10 in the male and female
divisions." This year in particular has been extremely
difficult with the low amount of games played by the
high schools. This was a direct result of the H1N1 and
the extension of the volleyball season. Mr. Head
extended his gratitude to members of the selection
committee who have placed countless hours into the
process over the past two months and are comfortable
with their decisions. The top eight male and female
teams are listed below:
Female:
1. Gonzaga
2. Bishop's
3 St. Kevin's
4. O'Donel
5. Corner Brook High
6. St. Bon's
7. Baltimore
8. Roncalli |
Male
1. Gonzaga
2. Bishop's
3. Holy Heart
4. O'Donel
5. Fatima
6. Mount Pearl
