The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association
(NLBA) has released the second set of rankings for the
Hall of Fame Cup (Elite Eight) Championship to be held
on February 19-21. The event is scheduled for
Newfoundland and Labrador Sports Centre in St. John's.
Over 300 game results have been forwarded to the
provincial office to assist with the rankings formulated
below. Roger Head, Chair of the Elite Eight Program, is
not surprised with the low number of scores this year
claiming the schools H1N1 policy certainly had an impact
on the number of games played for ranking purposes. The
committee has set February 7 as the final day to submit
game results.
Results from tournaments held prior to January 24,
have been included for the current rankings. Below is a
list of male and female teams according to current
statistics.
