Media Advisory: Minister to Mark End of
Canadian Forces Operations Following Hurricane Igor

The Honourable Tom Hedderson, Minister of Transportation and Works, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Minister Responsible for Emergency Preparedness (Acting) will participate in a ceremony marking the end of the Canadian Forces involvement with relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Igor.

Minister Hedderson will join Brigadier General Tony Stack, Deputy Commander for Land Force Atlantic Area and Commander of the recent Canadian Forces' Joint Task Force Newfoundland and Labrador support mission, for the close-out parade this afternoon (Wednesday, October 6). The ceremony will take place at 2:00 p.m., Station Drill Hall, Building 316, Pleasantville.

Minister Hedderson and General Stack will be available for interviews following the event.
